Minerals Technologies Elects Andrew Jones to Succeed Michael Johnson as Vice President & Managing Director of the Energy Services Business Segment

NEW YORK, September 28-Minerals Technologies Inc. (NYSE: MTX) announced today that Andrew Jones, Vice President and Managing Director, Eastern Hemisphere, Energy Services, has been elected Vice President & Managing Director of the company's Energy Services business segment. He will succeed Michael R. Johnson, who has chosen to pursue other interests.

Muscari, chairman and chief executive officer. "Andy has a wealth of knowledge about many facets of the oil and gas industry attained over more than 30 years."

Mr. Jones, in his present position, has been responsible for Energy Services' business in the Eastern Hemisphere, including West Africa, Nigeria, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia. Since being appointed to that position in 2014, he developed and implemented a strategy for international expansion, particularly in the Middle East, through both organic growth and acquisition opportunities.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Jones was Managing Director of Africa Oilfield Services Limited from 2009 to 2012.  

Mr. Jones spent a total of 23 years with Schlumberger Oilfield Services, the world's largest oilfield services company, where he assumed numerous roles of increasing responsibility.  Starting as a field engineer, he also served as Business Development Manager - Middle East; and Vice President and General Manager - Well Completions & Productivity (WCP) - Middle East and Asia.

He also held the position of Region Director of Africa/former Soviet Union and the Middle East for Expro International.

Mr. Jones received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Loughborough University of Technology.
